Finding out who's in the Beauty Business Locally

All I have to do now is spend some time finding out whos in the local area, and add some reviews..

Nottingham City Centre looks like this for those of you who haven't visited the City... Its a lovely bright square in the summer sunshine but quite dismal on rainy days...

We are home to Boots the Chemists who have recently been taken over by i dont know who... and their stores are all over the UK.  Its quite cool to shop with them as they are exceptional on their quality, and reasonably priced... I like the high end cosmetics and the expensive perfumes and their own brand hair care... Most of us have bought products from them over the years...  recently however they have been in competition with the cost price chemist style stores.  Boots No 7 is a popular brand often with 2 for 3 offers or buy 3 products and the cheapest is free plus they have Advantage points (4 points for each pound)

I dont think i will be focusing my reviews on the City Centre stores, as there are so many of them - (Department Stores and National Companies)...  my aim is to start with my local area and see if i can find a few small salons ... and one day a week to find lots of lovely ladies who would like to try the vie at home parties.

Shopping is fine but it doesnt give a really wow factor and although the Shopping Centres/Malls are bright and away from the weather, they really aren't my cup of tea (cappaccino - glass wine) Car Parking can be a real problem and expensive and in the winter all the shoppers seem to have colds and flu!!

I tend to head for the retail parks if I want to do some item specific shopping, and often wonder why there aren't any small retail units for local businesses... why cant i have a hairdresser and/or beauty treatment salon where i can park easily??  Designed by who we wonder.... (and just how long did it take to have buses that mums with pushchairs could get on and off without hassle.... )

On a biz and education note all the kids at school learn to compare and contrast for written work and thats cool but when you look at products and brands and retail outlets or service businesses like salons, there are lots of other factors to take into consideration like the individuals or local area's spending power and preferences... so i'm not really looking for criticisms i want to have a positive look at whats around in the local area and hope eventually it will make interesting reading.

Reviewing is really a personal thing and doesnt involve any kind of conclusion... it's a very personal thing so if anyone would like to contribute thats fine: post a comment or email in.
