It would be ideal to think of winter as long cosy nights by the fire with a glass of wine while the snow falls outside and the kids dream of sledging and making snowmen... but itsnt reality diffrerent, its just so long and drawn out when the weather is bad before christmas...
Remember the days when life was simple and as a teen we discovered makeup and the shops in the city - it was so much more fun than a lunch hour here and there... its fine getting ready for the Friday night out but its still not as cool as the first time you discover just exactly whats in the shops and experimenting with makeup
All the mums know that its ok to focus on the summer holiday and the hotel in the sunshiny resort or a weekend away with no washing up in the nice country hotel and a super room to get dressed and made up for an expensive nightout... but thats all in the summer unless you are winter sports fanatic.
I spent a while selling a well known brand of cosmetics to people at home and really enjoyed it - the local community really liked having the three weekly round of products brought to the door, particularly the book and the kids were excited and it passed a week or two away with anticipation... i really missed being involved but the rewards were really more about a lifestyle than something bringing in a money reward and looking after a team without a salary was really alot of work.
Of course the lads in the local area werent impressed like the girls... but thats life...
I still think that walking round the cosmetics store is cool but my makeup never seems to come together some things are old and tatty and favourites and wear out... and i cant get the colour i want again or i have new stuff thats really enticed me as i am in the shop but the experience of buying and looking doesnt seem to give the same buzz as when i was a teen... lunch hours or saturday shopping is ok but its not the luxury lifestyle i would like ... and i just am not the sort of person to be able to spend weekends or regular visits to some spa in the countryside.
So wheres all this leading... i thought i could have a focus on a blog of makeup experiences and products and keep the local flavour but on a blog site. Whether it will be successful will be up to me and anyone who will post.
At the same time i've set up a new kind of lifestyle focus in a different brand of cosmetics and over the next few weeks i'll be posting how the set up is going ... more about it all next post.
